Our greatest inspiration comes from our two sons, and, of course, our bunny cruelty_free.

Great question. Cool story…
We were pondering potential name for a family company and started playing around with our initials (Nikola, Ivana, Luka and Bogdan), which yielded NIBL. Since our pet rabbit Bucka (pronounced as Boo-tz-kah) contributed another letter B, we were firmly going in the direction of NIBBL, with the letter E added for pronounceability.
The technical term nibble also means a half of one byte (a nibble is smaller than a bite sentiment_satisfied), which felt natural due to the embedded nature of our work.
Finally, the verb to nibble indicates biting in small chunks, which describes perfectly what our pet rabbit is doing all day long. The said nibbling is the reason why we lost so many cables and moved to the wireless technologies in our flat.
